Body measurement guide

For the best results, have someone help you take your measurements. Use a soft measuring tape, wear fitted clothing, and stand in good lighting.

Upper Body
1Bust *Around the fullest part of your bust, keeping the tape horizontal.
2Under Bust WidthMeasure around the ribcage under the bust.
3NeckMeasure around the base of the neck where a collar would sit.
4Shoulder WidthAcross the back, from one shoulder point to the other.
5Shoulder LengthMeasure from the base of the neck to the end of the shoulder where the arm begins.
6Between Shoulder (Front)Measure across the front from one shoulder point to the other, above the bust.
7Upper ArmAround the widest part of the bicep area.
8Arm LengthFrom the shoulder point to the wrist with a slightly bent arm.
9Front LengthMeasure from the highest point of the shoulder (near the neck) straight down to waist.
10Back LengthFrom the base of the neck down to the natural waist.
11Neck to ApexMeasure from the base of the neck (center front) down to the bust apex.
12Between ApexMeasure horizontally from one bust apex (nipple point) to the other.
Lower Body
13Waist *Around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso.
14Hips *Around the fullest part of your hips and seat, feet together.
15Waist to HipMeasure vertically from the natural waist down to the fullest part of the hips.
16Waist to KneeMeasure from the natural waist straight down to the knee.
17Thigh (Widest Part)Measure around the fullest part of the upper thigh.
18InseamFrom the crotch to the ankle bone (for pants).
19OutseamFrom the natural waist to the floor along the side of the leg.
General
20HeightStanding straight, without shoes, from floor to top of head.
